These pictures are from a dive in late August with two good buddies and myself.  It was one of those unusual trips.  It all started out well at the Seattle airport.  The boys and their gear arrived on time and we headed from SeaTac to the hotel/beach resort that I had chosen for its peaceful setting and rooms by the water.  The first night was great, and we spent Friday diving at Sund Rock which is one of the top dive sites on the Hood Canal.  Viz was good as you can see below, and we had a great day.

On returning to Mikes Beach Resort we found that it had been taken over and overtaken by a very large group of nationals from a non-US/European country that exists in the East (they all drove Honda cars).  True to form there were 14 people in the 3 bed room next to ours, and strange things were cooking in pots on the balcony.  They were there for the oysters as the season was in and the tides were low. I will give them credit for one thing - they warned us that they liked to be loud - no kidding,  Talking about kids - apparently all rooms, regardless of who is occupying them, is open to visitation by the kids.  We made it through the night, but no more than that, and packed up and headed to Seattle via Bremerton and a fun ferry ride to the city.

Saturday night is something that I would probably like to forget if only I could remember it.  If you are in a pub in Seattle and one of the people with you starts by ordering three Irish car bombs and three additional Jager shots to start the evening - it is going to be funny....while it lasts!  All I can say is that we all made it back to the hotel, and I still had my glasses and kagool with me.  Nobody was happy that the kagool survived.....apparently it was not 'cool'.

Only one of us made it to the boat dive on Bandito Charters out of Tacoma the next morning, and given that there are pictures from the sites we visited (Sunrise Beach and Z's Reef), you can guess who made it!  I love diving in the Sound; lots of different life and the scallops are just stunning.

We all gathered for a last dinner on Sunday night, and only one of us wanted a beer, and that was because he had been diving all day taking pictures for you!
